Known fondly as the  Mother City, Cape Town has everything for the curious traveler who  enjoys the good life in all its colors and guises. Day 2: Morning Cape Point Tour & Afternoon Stellenbosch Winelands Tour

This  morning after a sumptuous breakfast you embark on your first tour of  the day, the Half Day Cape Point Tour. Journey along Millionaires  Paradise - ogling the glamorous homes and beautiful people of Clifton  Beach and Camps Bay - and you'll be in no doubt as to how it earned its  title. Wind your way towards the charming coastal town and working  harbour of Hout Bay. Hug the cliffs as you snake along the legendary  Chapman's Peak Drive, with its breath-taking views, towards the Cape of  Good Hope Section of the Table Mountain National Park and its rugged,  intriguing landscape.

Boulders  Beach penguin colony is a fascinating excursion. Move on to the  historical naval port of Simon's Town. It's a wonderful half-day spent  on the wilder side of this exquisite Cape coastline.

You  are returned to your hotel for some downtime and perhaps some lunch  (payable locally) before later embarking on your afternoon tour of the  Stellenbosch Winelands. Explore the fine art galleries, the  architecture, the history, and the curious and quaint shops of  historical, glorious Stellenbosch. Take a leisurely drive to acquaint  you with the beauty of this world-renowned region, before inducting you  into the wine-making process in a fascinating cellar tour and when the  wine's made, it needs to be tasted, so we'll twist your arm to test and  taste. It has been quite the day but no day is complete without a sunset  cruise along Cape Town’s shores as you sip on some fine champagne.  Embark on this wonderful cruise from the waterfront, just a very short  walk from your hotel.

Day 3: Cape Town – Franschhoek

Take  a cable car to the summit of Table Mountain, one of the New Seven  Wonders of the World (weather permitting), with views of the City and  surrounding. We drive to Camps Bay, boasting white sandy beach and once  the hunting ground of Lord Charles Somerset. Wind your way along through  Clifton, an exclusive residential area, before meandering through Sea  Point, the first 'commuter suburb' of Cape Town and now a recognized  Orthodox Jewish community. En route we'll see the sweeping silhouette of  the Cape Town Stadium before passing down Adderley Street. The City is  next up. Nelson Mandela made his first public speech after his release  from the balcony of Cape Town City Hall.

Drive past the Castle of Good  Hope which was originally built as a maritime replenishment station and  is the oldest surviving colonial building in  South Africa! We're passing Charly's Bakery, stars of the Food Network  Show before hearing a brief history of District Six en-route to a visit  at the Company Gardens. Its bordered by numerous landmarks including the  Slave Lodge, present day Houses of Parliament and St George's  Cathedral, the seat of the Anglican church in South Africa. We hear  about Greenmarket Square, the location for the well that was once the  town's main water supply during summer months when streams from Table  Mountain dried up, before a visit to the Noon Gun where we witness the  historic time signal. Learn more about the history of the Bo-Kaap and  its people as we move up the cobblestoned hills to the Malay Quarter,  and marvel at the ice-cream colours of the quaint Bo-Kaap homes. Our  final stop. A jewellery showroom where we meet a master diamond cutter  and witness the process of cutting and polishing a diamond. Once the  tour is complete you will be dropped off at The Flagship in Simons town  where you will be having the Chef Bruce experience.

Day 6: Singita Private Game Reserve

Southern  Africa is a year-round destination. Traditionally the dry winter months  (April to October) are best for game viewing, due to the shorter grass,  lack of foliage and the absence of water which forces the game to  concentrate around the remaining sources of drinking water. Annual  rainfall, usually in the form of short afternoon thunder showers that  clear up within an hour, occur from December to March. Many species give  birth to their young around the start of the rains, so the bush is  alive with newborn animals.

During  your stay at Singita Boulders Lodge, you are likely to spot a great  variety of wildlife, including species such as leopard, lion, rhino,  large herds of buffalo, elephant, reedbuck, hyena, hippopotamus, nyala,  cheetah, wild dogs and many types of birds. Safaris at Singita Sabi Sand  are conducted in Open Vehicle Land Rovers with a maximum of six guests  per vehicle. The lodge offers day time game drives and spot lit night  drives for the more adventurous. You also have walking safaris,  community visits, mountain biking, stargazing safaris and archery to  choose from during your stay.

Day 10: Tour of the Falls / Elephant Back Safari

This  morning you will be experiencing what few will ever be able to  experience, an up close and personal tour of the magnificent Victoria  Falls. The Falls are commonly described as one of The Seven Natural  Wonders of the World and Zambia boasts some of the most spectacular  views. To discover how the Falls were formed and what local customs and  traditions surround them, it is well worth taking a guided tour. These  tours are extremely informative and end with a visit to the local art  and crafts center. Tours may be conducted from the Zambian side or  Zimbabwean side or a combination of both sides. This afternoon after a  spot of lunch (payable locally) embark on an elephant back safari.

An  elephant back safari is an unforgettable experience enabling you to  interact with the elephants, as well as enjoy a unique ride through the  wilderness and beautiful riverine scenery. Along the river, hippo and  crocodile are common and there is a wide variety of bird species.  However, sightings are not guaranteed. This is an elephant 'experience'  and the guides are highly trained experts in the behaviour of elephants  and the wildlife around them. The trails begin at Thorntree Lodge in the  Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park. On arrival, a short introductory talk and  safety-briefing is given and then guests are introduced to the elephants  and their handlers before mounting the great animals before and heading  off through the riverine bush. The ride ends at the Elephant Boma where  guests dismount and interact with the elephants on the ground giving  the guides an opportunity to make an interesting and informative  explanation about the African Elephant and their relationship with man.
